Better than Disney?!
Check out this comment that was listed on our survey...
"The setting was great. We enjoyed everything. My son loved it. This park got more ooh’s and aah’s than Disney!" - Bradley Pahm, Evergreen Park, IL
YEAH! You have to come see for yourself if you agree. One thing I promise, we'll exceed your expectations. Children don't need lots of money, rides, stimulus, etc to have a good time. They just want some quality time with their families to make memories to last! We can provide that!
Every visitor gets a map to the park. On the back of the map are some survey questions. This was where the above quote appeared.

new trex
This is a photo of our new T-rex in Florida. We celebrated our 10th anniversary this winter and it was time to give some face-lifts. Our T-Rex was one of the first ones to get the makover. If you think they were cool before, check it out now. The detail is improved greatly. Just like everything else in life, we're getting better with practice. Stand under this guy and look up. You swear he's going to drop his head down and eat you! So cool!

On tourism
I just got back from a Kentucky Tourism Council conference. I was learning tips on how to make Dinosaur World and even more awesome place! This made me think that fun people work in tourism. And traveling is fun. So my advice to everyone is to get out and have some fun. Money may be tight, especially in these economic times, but it doesn't take an expensive trip to create some memories with your loved ones.
One of my favorite quotes is "Forget not that the winds long to play with your hair". – Kahil Gibran. So get out and enjoy life - preferably at Dinosaur World, but definitely somewhere!

"On Dinosaur World"
Memorial Day is this weekend. We're busy adding staff to make sure everyone is well taken care of at Dinosaur World. I'll be working... that's how it is in the tourism industry, we work when most others have their holidays so you guys can all have a great time. So, wherever you go this weekend, try sending some kind words to those serving you - it will make you feel good too!
Let me leave you with a poem from one of our visitors...
“On Dinosaur World” – Norm Vitting – Glen Rock, NJ
There’s a place quite far from home
Where lifelike, scary dinosaurs roam.
Some just stand.
Some are in fights,
But convincing enough
To keep you up nights.
T-Rex and stegos,
Brontos galore,
Compys, Ankylos,
And Raptors and more!
They peek over trees,
Through shrubbery thin,
So real do they look,
You jump out of your skin!
Tho, I’m not quite a saint,
And not much of a sinner.
If these things were real
I’d surely be dinner!
You gasp and you pant,
You run out and then
You say, “that was fun,”
Let’s do it again!

Field Trips to Dinosaur World
May is the prime field trip time for Dinosaur World. Teachers are getting in their field trips before school ends. A field trip to Dinosaur World fits in perfectly for the breaks around end of the year testing. We're educational and fun and activities fit into core content curriculum.

lots to do in area
Dinosaur World is worth the drive, but just in case you need more of an incentive, check out this link on things to do in the Mammoth Cave National Park area = http://www.allied-media.net/videos/CaveCountry.wmv.
It will be raining in much of the country this weekend, but remember Dinosaur World is open every day of the year (except Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Day) from 9:00. We're here rain or shine, so bring your jackets and enjoy the outdoors!
