Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Turkey Day to everyone from Dinosaur World! Here's our holiday schedule...

Kentucky = We will only be closed on Thanksgiving Day (so our staff and dinosaurs can spend time with their families). We are open every day of the year (except Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Day) from 8:30 am to sunset central time.

Florida = We are open every day of the year from 9 - 5 (that goes to 9-6 in the summer).

Texas = We will only be cloased on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, all other days of the year, we are open 9-5 (and 9-6 in the summer).

NEW BABY DINOS IN FLORIDA!

New juvenile dinosaurs have come home to Dinosaur World in Plant City just in time for the holidays. The Chasmasaurus family has grown by adding 3 babies and 2 juveniles. The Styracasaurus family has also grown with twins, both babies and juveniles. These young dinosaurs join other members of their family including adults. It is this family type display that makes the exhibits more impressive. The dinosaurs were made on site by artists employed by the museum and based on scientific research. Dinosaur World is continuing to grow, adding new exhibits yearly. These new dinosaurs were brought out in time for Christmas to enjoy time with visiting families for the holidays.

A big thanks to all the students who came to Highland Elementary Day at Dinosaur World in Kentucky! The school's PTO made it possible to give $5 admission to all students and their parents. It was a beautiful day and everyone had fun. We're glad to work wtih local schools. We have great file trips, outreach programs, and more. Visit www.dinoworld.net for more information.

Indoor fossil dig

We just got in a great new indoor fossil dig for Kentucky. It gets a lot colder here in the winter than it does in Texas or Florida. So, we do an indoor fossil dig in the winter for Kentucky. It's now a nice, big, prehistoric looking crate full of sand and loaded with fossils. This is still free for ages 3-12 with paid park admission. And you still get to take home 3 of your favorite fossils.

we're growing again

If you come to the Kentucky location and notice some changes in the giftshop, don't worry becuase we're growing again! We're getting ready for a whole bunch of new items for our giftshop. We have a divider up over a portion of the store, but no worries becuase we still have like 3,000 square feet of really cool dinosaur stuff for you. I'll keep you posted on when the new items get here.

Thanks Grandparents!

Thanks to all the grandparents that came out the last two weekends with the grandkids! We celebrated family time with grandparents weekends. We'll do this again soon. In the meantime, get out and enjoy the outdoors with your family! Remember, Dinosaur World is open every day year around (except Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Day in Texas and Kentucky). It's going to be a great weekend! It will be near 70 degrees in all three of our locations - even in Kentucky which is rare this time of year. So, get out and enjoy it! Bring your pet or your grandkids for a discount and enjoy the family and the dinosaurs!
