week trip

No blog for a week because I'll be out of the office. Our staff and our dinosaurs are still anxiously awaiting your arrival and will take good care of you while I'm gone. Memorial Day is coming soon. We'd be glad to see you during the long weekend too!

We do weddings

Today I scheduled our first Dinosaur World wedding at the Kentucky location. How fun is that?! the ceremony will be held on the overlook deck in July. So, are you looking for a unique place to hold your wedding?

Baryonyx means “heavy claw.” Paleontologists found that the large claw probably belonged on the thumb. Fish scales and Iguanodon bones were found in the area of the stomach, and this has lead scientists to believe it ate fish. They also found it possessed a long slender snout with 96 teeth shaped like crocodile teeth, which are good for grasping and holding prey. It is thought that the huge claw on its hand would have been used to reach into the water and hook the fish. Imagine them as huge reptilian grizzly bears, fishing with those terrible foot long claws.
