T-Rex info

Here's some great informatino on our T-Rex...
  • T-Rex stood about 13 feet tall at the hips, 40 feet long, weighed about 7 tons

  • His name means “tyrant lizard king”

  • Fossils found in USA and Asia

  • Tyrannosaurus rex's arms were only about 3 feet (1 m) long,

  • He had 2-fingered hands

  • T-rex had cone-shaped, serrated teeth that were continually replaced

  • Until recently, Tyrannosaurus rex was the biggest known carnivorous dinosaur; Gigantosaurus and Carcharodontosaurus are slightly bigger

  • Tyrannosaurus rex was a fierce predator that walked on two powerful legs.

  • T-rex had a slim, stiff, pointed tail that provided balance and allowed quick turns while running.

  • Its body was solidly built but its bones were hollow.

  • T-rex's brain had a very large area in the brain for processing odors.
